Design

I design and draw out all signs, logos and branding specific to each individual job. I will work closely with you to create signage and branding that is unique and full of personality. My designs always begin with hand sketched drawings and can end up as numerous forms from a gilded window design to a website logo.

Alternatively, if you already have a logo or artwork, then I will complete the job based on your existing designs.

Sign Writing

Once the designs have been signed off it's time to crack open the paint. Depending on the job, the work will either be completed on site - shop fronts, fascias, fan lights, glass work, internal signage - or will be completed in my Liverpool workshop - A boards, swing signs, projecting signs, honours boards.

The beauty of sign writing is that you can paint most things or surfaces - to use a well coined signwriting phrase, "If it stays still for long enough I can paint it."

I typically paint shop fronts, glass, A boards and vehicles, but don't be put off if you have a more unusual request. Miniature canal boats, leather jackets, life rings and lego bricks have all had the sign writing treatment.

Gold Leaf and Gilding

Want something that really stands out? Then gold leaf may well be the answer! Be it on a fascia, or be it on glass, gold leaf screams style and class. Gilding can be standalone work or can be incorporated into other signage work. Popular options are the gilding of fanlight numbers in both commercial and private properties.

Painted on the exterior of the shop window, this weather-proof display can provide an excellent injection of colour for a special occasion or the promotion of a particular product. These are particular popular around Christmas time.
